I am totally obsessed

With the Royal wedding just a few hours away I am finally going to come out and say it. I am totally obsessed! My job is mainly about serious stuff and I just never get to have "fun". Its the path I have chosen and for the most part I really love what I do. BUT that being said I am totally in need of some girly fun stuff, and I am obsessing over the royal wedding. I find myself trying to read every article I can about Kate and dreaming of what she must be feeling like. SO much fun!!! As a recent bride I want to know if even on the scale of her wedding if she is just super excited to see William on the big day. I wonder if he knows what her dress is going to look like. I wonder if she has had that last single girl kiss. Ahhh I just love it all!

Also, I am kind of tired of people judging her for being too skinny and saying she is not a good roll model. First of all if I were getting married in front of a billion people I would be a freaking skeleton. I would be so effing skinny for fear that some photographer would somehow get a picture of cellulite (not that she has much to begin with). But gosh damn give the girl a break! Every bride is too skinny. She is just under about a billion times more pressure!

Last ranting point, I am SOOOOO over people being too cool for the wedding and being all, "I don't care", whatever you people. Lighten up. It is all in good fun and what little girl my age has not dreamed of marring Prince William? I remember thinking because I was half English I had a better shot. I even remember looking into what college he was going to go to so I too could go there and meet him. Guess Kate had the same plan! But whatever, lighten up people. I love love!

Plus I just DYING to see her dress!!!! Congrats to the happy couple!

Skinny is My New Fat

About 2 years ago I stared my WW's journey with my good friend Kelly. I weighed about 165 pounds and was a size 10. I never thought of myself as FAT per se, but I knew I was not as skinny as I was when I moved to Austin. On weight watchers over the course of a year I lost a total of 30 pounds. I am now a size 4 or 6 depending on the store. I feel so much better and I am so proud that I have been able to keep the weight off for another year. On top of that with my injury I was not able to keep up my workouts and I still only ever gained about 5 pounds back.

For my wedding I of course stepped up the weight loss and working out. I will be the first to admit I was a little too stressed out and I lost another 10 pounds and was a size 2, I was for sure really super skinny. I have never shot for that kind of weight loss and I never really thought I would maintain that weight long term. But I will also be the first to admit I freaking LOVED being a skinny bitch. I have never felt sexier or more comfortable in my body.

As a result I went out bought lots of new clothes for my honeymoon (let's face it we all use the excuse to buy a whole new wardrobe). Well this weekend I took all of those clothes out of winter storage this weekend and CRAP I feel fat now. I weight my goal weight that I had set two years ago. I work out and eat right but still feel horrible about myself in these beautiful clothes!

So now we come to the title of this post, what was once skinny to me is now kinda "fat". Not that 135 pounds is fat by any means but man! So I am going to be working out as much as possible and eating even better. I will be tracking my weight watchers points and gosh darn it I will fit into my honeymoon clothes again!

PS - we have a big announcement that will make this post make even more sense! :-)

Me about a week before I started WW's.
At my first goal weight. I felt so skinny back then.
Me at my most skinny. I can't find many pictures of me other then from my wedding from then. If I had only known I would have been naked all the time.
Gratuitous skinny shot of me in a wedding dress. I know.

How my garden grows!

So in my last post about gardening I mentioned I wanted to tackle something that scared the crap out of me. I always kill everything and that I had no idea what I was doing. Well... that is sill the case. But, and this is a big but (hehe I said big butt) things are not all the way dead and we have added even more things for me to kill!

Mr. A was so excited about the first plants we bought that he took me out and bought a whole herb garden set up! I know, so cute! We bought sweet basil, thyme, sage, and got fancy with some upside down tomatoes and peppers!

We were told to get organic planting soil because we would be ingesting the stuff. We also got liquid seaweed apparently a great organic plant food! It seems to be going fairly well so far. Things are dying but they are also growing. I am hoping they are just in shot and will come back to full health soon!
Here is how things look as of this morning:

My tomatoes are sprouting! We will be turning this pot upside down soon and then they should grow big awesome tomatoes! I can't wait to see if I kill these!

These little guys have actually got much bigger, and we have little guy to watch over them!
These are not dead just yet!

The peppers are coming along. I have had to fuss with them a bit though. Who knows, I may just kill them anyway. I am so good at that.
And my herbs. I am going to be cooking with them tonight!

I went to go see Scream 4 last night with Mr. A. I was a little scared so Mr. A ordered us a bottle of wine to help chill me out. Apparently it worked like a charm... I ended up wasted in the theater giggling at the movie. Which BTW was totally a good scary movie. Ahhhh how I love Sundays with my best friend, Malbec and the movies!

To add to it I needed to pick up a few things at the grocery store on the way home. Tipsy grocery shopping was a lot of fun. Calories and cost meant nothing to me. I ended up with a vat of strawberries, Nutella, chips, hummus, cheese and milk. Nice.

UPDATE: Blogging from my phone means I can't edit! Sorry for the typos. Fail.

Blog Updated - Sort Of, For Now...

What do we think of the new layout? I am trying to freshen up the look. There will be tweaks on this blog for a bit so please be patient. Hope you like the new look and you agree it's changing for the better!

Went to the gym, and I learned how babies were made

This past week in the company of two amazing girlfriends I finally tried out the latest work out craze, Zumba. If any of you don't know that this class is it is a mix of hip hop and Latin dance with a sprinkling of stripper. I have to tell you I thought I was a pretty good dancer till last night!Awesome moves = FAIL.

Imagine me looking as awkward as the dude in the green pants does in this picture. That is how bad this was.
I in no way want this to come off bad but I am sure it will, I have no natural skills or rhythm when it comes to shaking my ass. Some people it is just part of their makeup. Me? Not one part of me can make my as bounce the way the instructor told us to. There was a lot of giggling and shaking my flat chest that night. At one point heard Janet say she should have taken this class before her honeymoon so she could have learned some new seduction moves. I proclaimed I finally understood how babies were made. The moves these ladies were pulling off were totally hot!

Make matters worse the class was actually kind of hard! I was sweaty and un-cute and stinky at the end of the class. But it was a lot of fun. I am not totally sure when I will take the class again. I am thinking next time I need to laugh my ass off... literally. :)

Weekend recap a week late, it's ok you can judge me

Last weekend we did so much. I would like to write all about it but honestly I am being lazy. So I will give you a brief update in pictures...

We started off at the air show with Kelly and Mr. A's family!

We then went to the wildflower center. I had never been there. It was beautiful!

We had a busy weekend filled with catching up with our families and planting even more on our porch! More on that in a bit! But we are so looking forward to this weekend because this weekend Mr. A gets to fly in one of the planes featured above! I bet you can't guess what I will be doing!!!

Have a fun weekend all!

I am a master florist...

Or maybe I am in my head... but whatever. I decided to try somthing that scares the crap out of me this weekend. I planted live flowers!

After an hour or so at Home Depot and many phone calls to my mom, here is the before and after. Everything lived through the night so I take that as a huge accomplishment. Don't judge me please. I kill everything in my house other than Mr. A and our dog.

Mr. A starts a blog!

Mr. A has started a blog on his favorite topic ... MOVIES!

You should check it out! Click here and get his thoughts on all the movies we have gone to see. It is actually funny to see on the web all of the movies we watch at home and go out to. Oh well we are nerds. DEAL WITH IT.

Hope you like it!

New Android App

I found an app in the Android Market to compete with Apple's Instagram. Its just called "Retro Camera", and I love it!

There are 6 lenses and they all take differnet pictures. It works really well. The only thing that has been bothering me is that it sometimes does not upload to Facebook right away.

Check out some pictures I have taken with it and then go get it for yourself!
